Rachel Carson Trail Challenge refunds

How to request a partial refund

If you no longer wish to participate in the Rachel Carson Trail Challenge, you may request a refund of $40 (transfers are not permitted). To do this, email challenge@rachelcarsontrails.org with the subject line "Refund request". Include your name and indicate that you are requesting a refund.

We will process your request and reply with a confirmation indicating your refund will be issued and that you are no longer a registered participant.


  • You must make your request prior to Sunday June 6, 2010. If your request is dated June 6 or later, it cannot be honored.
  • This process only applies to events which have sold out. However, if your event hasn't sold out you may still request a refund but it will only be processed if the event sells out.
  • Only the person who paid for the original registration may request the refund. If you are not that person, please email that person and have him or her forward your email to us with the request.
  • The refund will be issued as a credit to the same credit/debit card used during the original registration (no cash refunds).
  • This must be done in writing, no phone calls please.
