Join Adam Haritan for a spring ecology walk through the beautiful Crouse Run Nature Reserve in Allison Park.  As we explore this diverse floodplain ecosystem, we’ll discuss spring wildflower ecology, tree and mushroom identification, past uses of the landscape, geologic influences, and much more. This hike will be less than two miles in length with lots of stops to discuss plant life.  There are several creek crossings in Crouse Run;  hikers should be prepared for high water depending on the weather leading up to the hike.

Bio:  Adam Haritan is the founder of Learn Your Land — an educational organization dedicated to bringing humans and wild places together.  He leads classes and workshops on forest ecology, plant and mushroom identification, wild food harvesting, and the benefits of connecting with nature.
