Goat Fest

Join us for a Goat Trot and then head to the Goat Fest!

Take a break from the Rachel Carson Trail and check out a city trail while supporting a great cause!

What: a 3-mile jog/run through the South Side trails (and some streets and stairs!)

When: Saturday, July 30, 11:00 a.m.

Where: The run starts at the Arlington Recreational Center, 2201 Salisbury St, Pittsburgh PA, 15210. (Click here for directions)

The details:  North Park Trail Runners Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee and Rachel Carson Trail Conservancy are partnering to host a 3-mile Goat Trot (run/jog) on the South Side on Saturday. The run finishes at the iconic Goat Fest, located in South Side Park. The event is an annual fundraiser supporting ecological restoration efforts and an opportunity to see the goats in action, doing what they do best: eating the knotweed and other invasive plants.  (RCTC has a soft spot for goats. If you recall, we had a team of goats on our Harmony Trail a few years back!)
