Baker Trail Maintenance

by Dewaine Beard last modified Jul 03, 2009 05:12 PM

Cook Forest is an amazingly beautiful part of the Baker Trail and it is time for another weekend camp out and cleanup! This maintenance is focused on finding the route, clearing it, blazing it and getting any large logs out of the way from the intersection of Frozen Toe and McCuutcheon Road to Clinger Road. Bring your camping gear, gloves, clippers, and food for 2 days and nights!

The third of four planned weekend maintenance events on the Baker Trail for 2008. This weekend will concentrate on finding, clearing and marking the trail through the last wooded section of the norther 1/3 of the Baker. With new construction in the area and a pending re-route, this will be a fun weekend of working in the woods on a modes 3.5 miles of trail. Pack plenty of food and water and prepare for an weekend of camping out with friends at the Ridge Campground and figuring out how to get from point A to point B. If time permits, we will blaze road way on south towards Corscia.
